Kelly is the heart and soul behind Smart Acoustics. A musician and songwriter by passion, he began his journey of acoustic treatment in 2018 while building his own home recording studio in the lower level of his home. 

The final phase of his studio was acoustic treatment. Needing 14 total acoustic panels, Kelly looked to the internet and found a very common, traditional DIY method using lumber, power tools, fabric, staple guns, spray glue, etc. 

In his garage, all during this extensive building process, Kelly envisioned an easy DIY method, one WITHOUT the need for tools. A turn-key acoustic panel, complete with a custom-fit fabric cover, that could be easily put together in a few minutes in a living room - all without a using a single tool.

That’s when Kelly designed and developed the AcoustiCAGE 150™ DIY Kit, ultimately obtaining a US Patent in 2023. His goal is to make high-quality, professional-grade DIY acoustic treatment products easy, effective, beautiful and affordable for everyone.

Smart Acoustics blends creativity with innovation, always seeking to create acoustic products that serve the Do-It-Yourself community. 

This includes home recording and pro recording studio owners & engineers, podcasters, audiophiles and home theater enthusiasts.

But Kelly also wants to help schools, churches, businesses and other organizations save money while effectively acoustically treating their spaces.

Either way, his mission is the same - revolutionize the DIY market by making acoustic treatment easy, effective, beautiful and affordable for everyone.
